Gallant House

Historic Elegance with a Personal Touch

The Gallant House — built in 1880 by one of the area's most successful merchants, Joseph Gallant — is a true representation of Victorian era Prince Edward Island. Whether relaxing in a large wingback chair with ottoman in one of its two parlours, swapping stories with other guests, or enjoying evening snacks like a cup of tea and a classic Island biscuit (all available upon request), you’re always surrounded by elegance. We’ve also a selection of Island literature on hand, with books available for guests to borrow during your visit. You may even feel inspired to play a tune on our charming antique 1890 Parlour Grand Piano.

Served daily in our dining room, guests come together for a delicious breakfast offering seasonal options and the freshest local ingredients. Guests are also invited to stroll the beautifully groomed Victorian Gardens in our courtyard, and relax on the expansive verandas that border the house. Take advantage of our exercise and sauna facilities, and laundry services are also available upon request.
