The Historic Gallant House whispers of an elegant era gone past; the simpler and yet beautiful era of Prince Edward Island's rich history is reflected in every detail. The host home to the main facilities that the Barachois Inn offers, our Gallant House hosts a lovely main dining area where guests congregate for breakfast, delightful parlours and four Victorian style suites.

The Gallant House is a true representation of Victorian era Prince Edward Island. Whether spending time in the two parlours, with their large wing chairs and ottomans which beckon you to sit back and relax or even swapping stories with other guests from around the room, you'll always be surrounded by elegance. Evening snacks and beverages can be served upon request and there is no better place to sit back and sip of a warm cup of tea and partake in a classic Island biscuit. With a host of books for a variety of tastes, we have included from of the finest PEI literature to our collection which are available for guests to borrow during their visit. You may even feel so inspired to play a tune on your charming antique 1890 Parlour Grand Piano.

Served daily in our dining room, guests come together for a delicious breakfast. Offering a choice of select seasonable breakfasts and refreshments, we always serve the freshest local ingredients to steep your senses in our lovely Island. Our guests may use the Dining Room at their leisure to relax, have a snack between excursions or even for a friendly Island style game of cards.

All accommodations in the Gallant House are located on the second and third floors, offering a breathtaking panoramic vista of the Island's famed North Shore and it's winding waterways for our guests.
